Live scoreboard software for snooker, billiards and pool for an internet audience. MiniScorer is an unobtrusive desktop application for submitting scores to a online scoreboard for viewing by a global audience. MiniScorer is free software for the cuesport community.
MiniScorer has been specially designed for use on the same computer that is used for scoring and displaying the scoreboard to a local audience at the same time. To use MiniScorer and provide live match scores to a global audience an Internet connection is required.
It’s compact size and prominent focus enables it to be positioned anywhere on the screen such as the far bottom right of the screen, where it can be unobtrusive and not block an audience’s view of the scoreboard.
The primary operation is to send scores to an online database and retrieve the updated frame score:
1. When the application is run it prompts for the Match Code to submit
2. If in the database user is then presented for login and password
3. Successful login retrieves the match details and current frame scores
4. Scorer sends scores to the database from the event as they are witnessed
MiniScorer has been designed to sit prominently over all other applications such as scoreboards, web browser windows, toolbar, etc and maintain focus so that the scorer can simply use the number pad on their keyboard and just hit Enter to update the scores. To move MiniScorer around on your screen simply click-drag the MiniScorer logo and move it to where you want it seen.
MiniScorer is available in about 20 different languages.

Live scoring for an Internet audience
using full web controls
If you are live scoring from a computer that is not providing the monitor display
for the audience then you don't have to worry about blocking their view. From
your score control pages online you have full control at your fingertips and
can create new matches as and when required without changing browser windows
or software.
Live scoring for an Internet
audience using the MiniScorer
If you are live scoring from a computer that is providing the monitor display for
the audience, then you won't want to block their view and can use the
MiniScorer. MiniScorer has been specially designed to sit at the bottom of the
screen over the task bar, and is small enough to be virtually invisible to an
audience. The only limitation with MiniScorer is that the match has to be
already set up so that you can then log in and start submitting scores.
Otherwise it has the same functionality for submitting live scores as the full web
version.
Popup scoreboards for an Internet
audience
Popup scoreboards are a small browser window for viewing score updates while
performing other tasks on the computer. The scoreboard will continually
refresh to display the latest live score updates and break progression. From the
scoreboard the audience can select which matches they want to watch and change
matches as they please. This is a free service to the snooker community and no
logins are required to watch a match.
Fullscreen scoreboards for an
Internet audience
Fullscreen scoreboards are designed to dominate the screen area and provide
visibility from a long distance. The live scoreboard will continually refresh to
display the latest score updates and break progression. From the scoreboard
the scorer can select which match to display and change matches when needed.
This is a free service to the snooker community and no logins are required to
watch a match.
Online match programme
Match programmes listing the live matches available for viewing can be found on
the BallStream home page and from links on the home pages of other clubs that
utilize the service. The match programme also appears on the live
scoreboards.
Snooker and billiards scoreboard for video overlay
BallStream uses a unique video overlay system to embed a scoreboard
into movie files to show the current score as the video is played. As no
software was readily available for this we had to create our own and the guys
at ArtistScope came up with what has been the perfect solution. The same
software is used for into panels as well as the scoreboard and works with
Windows Media Encoder which is perfect for joining and downsizing the original
video recordings without the usual loss of video quality found when using any
other video editing software.
Our snooker scoreboard overlay software is comprised of a custom plugin for
Windows Media Encoder which retrieves a scoreboard image to overlay/embed into
the movie. The scoreboard image in turn is created by another application
which we call the "Reporter" which retrieves the current scores from a live
scoring service such as that provided by BallStream and updates the image to
be used.

Live scoreboard software (no internet required)
The BallStream Scoreboard Control
will provide a scoreboard from any monitor connected directly to the computer
(no internet required). BSC caters for all cue sport games including
billiards, snooker, 8-ball, 9-ball, and 10-ball pool with many features for
performance statistics, tournament and draw management.
Drawsheet maker
The BallStream Drawsheet Control can be
used to create seeded draws for all tournaments and all sports. BDC includes
tools and templates for 8, 16, 32, 64 and 128 player draws. Players can be
selected, sorted in order of seed or rank and the draw maker will
automatically sort the drawsheet to allow for byes, etc. |
